some of us prefer the larger version that is easier to see and find . like the Maxi streak. the white one is my original (retired), orange is the clone. both are set up to fly on D12-7's.

An "intermediate" (but likely higher-flying, yet recoverable) D-powered Streak is possible. The nose cone of the BT-50 size Estes Meanie (designated the BNC-50B, if memory serves), which also served as the nose cone of the "recovery probe tube" in the U.S.S. Enterprise kit, is the same shape as the Streak's nose cone. An up-scaled BT-50 size Streak that used this nose cone would have enough space above the motor for a streamer. This model could use long-delay C11 and D12 motors.

The Maxi Streak used BT-60. Any other upscale ought to be bigger than that.

I used to be so impressed at the claim in the catalog that the Streak could potentially have "2,000 ft. flights." I didn't understand at the time how difficult it would be to track a very lightweight 5.6" tall rocket to that altitude and find it again after it returned via featherlight recovery. I never had a Streak back in the day. I obtained the kit in my photo during the past decade.
