Help cure my ignorance, is there a difference between the ncr x wing, and the Estes maxi x wing ?

They are the same size and share some plastic parts. But, the NCR kit is much beefier and designed to fly on larger motors. The NCR has a larger motor mount, thick, wooden fins and a wooden fuselage . It has clear fins between the "wings" rather than add-on fins in tbe back for stability. It uses rear-ejection rather than popping the nose.

I am a big fan of the NCR kit, though I recommend a few tweaks when building it. You can search here and at TRF for tips from myself and others that have built it.

The price being asked is very fair. If I didn't already have a couple of the NCR kits .... :-)
