Success again!
Before the wind started I flew my CAMROC on a C6-7. I have been waiting on this because of the fear of walking (stumbling) a long way to retrieve the bird. I flew early and it produced a photo! It came down very close because the 12-inch chute failed to open. A fin broke on my CAMROC carrier but I have already epoxyed it back.
Because of the early hour the results are not as good. It is the water well station #3 just up from me on the drive. You can see the tanks and the fence. Contrast is not as good as I would like. I’ll work on it some more. In the meantime enjoy! |

Personally, I think it looks pretty darn good! Way to go, Ted!

Success Cubed!
Despite the extreme wind I had a last C6-7 that was burning a hole in my pocket! I loaded up the CAMROC and flew it! Boy, did I have to walk a long way to recover to rocket. But, after processing the film I discovered it was all worth it. I got a coveted horizen shot. It shows a field of winter wheat (it's not water) and Shepard drive going into Howe, Texas. It is great! A Estes dent really bent up the CAMROC carrier but I think it will fly again. I need to stop pushing my luck on the recovery. I included the photo and a pre-flight shot of the CAMROC. Enjoy!

Looks like it came from a time machine! (The world was B&W in the olden days.)

Holy cow, I forgot to reply. Anyway, I was rooting around in my rocket stuff last night and I found the bands - they are #8. Sorry for the delay. |
