Default Day before Easter launch

Hi all,

Great launch today at the local park.

I launched the Semroc Scrambler on (3) 1/2 A6-2's. It was a little windy and it was my first cluster attempt so I was a chicken. Nice straight flight of about 100 ft. Should of used the Quest A6-4's I bought for this purpose. Oh well.

My new K-40 Midget clone flew great on a vintage 1/2-A0 to 1/2 A6-2. First Midget build. I like 'em.

The Semroc Hawk is an old reliable on an A8-3. Always gets oohs and awws.

The new Elliptic II flys great on a a10-0t , 1/2A3-4t...but next time it will be a vintage a3-6t instead, it is why I built it.

I recovered a Semroc Skyhook on a c6-7!

Only lost one rocket...a Mosquito on a 1/4a

Kids had a blast. HAPPY EASTER.

I'm not sure where the Mosquito goes when it leaves the rod? I only recovered one Mosquito out of all the ones that I flew over the years since I was a kid. No matter how hard or how long I searched for them or what bright color that I chose to paint them they always just disappeared.

As far as I remember, we've launched one, and managed to recover it, on Good Friday back in 2001. Maybe the Easter weekend thing has something to do with it.

Small rockets like the Mosquito are almost always a one and done.

That's why I'll probably never launch my Golden Scout
