Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread, Steve.

I don't consider it a hijack I actually obtained quite a bit of good information from the NARAM 50 link as well as pictures that Al Swackhammer sent from NARAM 50 of his Sonic 36 when I was still trying to obtain information in the model. I had those links saved on my old PC so it took me a while to find them.

Al did reference that the Anaheim Stadium 1974 BJ Humphreys image was from Jerry's California Rocketry. Al also promised some pictures of his Sonic 36 that I saved a link to when we discussed the model a good while back.

The NARAM 50 pic Al posted shows his Sonic 36 laying on the table just behind his Scrambler and he does mention flying his Delta Star

Looks like you and Al had a great time!

I have a few more pictures the Taras just emailed me this morning of his Sonic 36 that I will post tonight.

How is Taras doing? I haven't seen him in almost 10 years. It was at our NARCON's we held in the mid 2000's. Tell him I said hi!

I forwarded you his email address should you want to drop Taras a quick hello.

He sent a couple of images.
First image he referenced [29mm Sonic circa 1977.JPG]
Just in case someone may be interested, that is Fritz Gnass in the background hooking up his groundhog BG model.

Second image he referenced [Lift-off_Sisko.jpg]
Here is that lift-off shot. As you can see Mike Sisko (launching) had so much faith in the F100 booster that he is pretty well hidden from the potential "blast"

Unfortunately delays and bad weather here in Louisiana have me moving slow with my Sonic 36 but I hope to get back on the build again this weekend.

When I see these images I think how much less thought or intention we put into our rockets because our weather is great and motors abundant. Lifestyle I suppose.
