So Leo, I looked at Klima's website to see the ignitor sticks. Do they require the Klima launch controller to ignite them?

No, they are used in conjunction with the match tape. The match tape can be set off with any kind of igniter e.g. Estes igniters. I use inexpensive electric igniters / matches.

somebody needs to smuggle some of this stuff into the USA..... unfortunately for us here the USA , those igniter sticks are illegal unless electrical ignition is used to ignite them......so sez nfpa 1122....can't start model rocket motors with a lit fuse....

any idea what the composition of the igniter sticks are? formed BP?
