No connection to seller, except that I've had a search going for big Estes HoJos for awhile.

I'll be curious to see how silly it really gets - I've got one sitting around (nicer than the one in that listing) that I've been debating what to do with...

There are enough of the original #1269 HJ Maxibrutes and the later #2166 re-issue in the early 2000s listed regularly on eBay (there are 5-6 of them currently) that they tend not to go for a ton of bucks. They can be had for under $200 without too much of a search/wait.

And they're not worth even $100.
NOT rare at all.
I'd bet more of those exist now than unopened mini-brute LittleJohn kits.

Yeah, probably so. Those don?t show up very often at all. Kinda like the Centuri 1/100th Little Joe II. Finding the 1/45 scale version is not all that hard. The 1/100th scale version hardly ever pops up and when it does, expect to pay even more for it than it?s larger brethren.

Absurd.
And it's not even a first-year green hang-tag kit.
Sheesh.

To think an original Mini-Max Aero Dart went for only $35 more at $395 in the past week is ridiculous.
The 1284 Shuttle is NOT a rare kit at all. There are tons of sealed ones still out there.
