Default Is Shrox still in the rocketry biz

Hope I'm not beating a dead horse. Been on hiatus for a while and did a little research on him but can't see anything that he is still designing. I see his shrockets sight is up but only with the " Things are changing " tag. ( I think that's what it said ) Would anyone enlighten me on the situation or point me in the right direction. I read he was banned over on TRF.

IIRC, he is not designing/producing kits, but several plans and decal scans have been available online. I think Apogee may still have a few of his kits.

It looks like Shrox is having kits produced through Apogee,
The first being the Skonk Wulf:

Shrox is no longer selling Plan Paks. I contacted him back in April and bought the Ibis and Skonk Wulf Plan Paks, but I may have been the last person to order. He indicated Apogee was taking over his designs.

You can download the roc sim file and decal of some of his rockets at Apogee.

Thanks for the info on shrox... hopefully he comes back/continues. Has there been any other great designers like shrox that sell kits that I might have missed?

I also hope Douglas Shrock is able to get back into the business - I had a good time building all of his designs that I could find a few years back.

I'll put out a reminder about Jim Flis' designs, over at Fliskits. They've always impressed me.

He posts some of his computerized space artwork in the "Space Hipsters" Facebook group from time to time. Pretty sure he has a website but do not know the link offhand.

Yeah, the new owners of TRF turned out to be as big A-holes as most of us thought they were. They went on a rampage basically said that ANYTHING posted on their site was THEIR property, including "sneak peeks" and stuff of projects they were thinking about developing for sale, and also just shredded any vendors that dared post anything they remotely considered "advertising", like, oh, answering questions... Shrox was NOT the only one, not by a longshot. That was one more log on the fire that led me to leave TRF for good a couple years ago.

I think he was trying to sell a bunch of his designs and stuff and maybe fell on some hard times or something?? I heard him make some remarks like he had a major creative type job that came his way, but he hasn't posted much at all since then... maybe a few sporadic posts here and there, rather cryptic, nothing specific that I can recall.

It's a shame because Shrox is DEFINITELY one of THE most gifted creative designers in rocketry today, or at least he was.

Later! OL J R
