Hobbylinc/Hobby Lobby shipment of Estes E/F motors
Apparently Hobbylinc (and some sources say Hobby Lobby is too) is shipping Estes E and F motors (E9, E12, E16, F15) without Haz-Mat.
Possibly they have been granted some shipping exception ? Don't know if it's against the 'rules' or not and DON'T CARE EITHER if they are 'scofflawing'. Haz-Mat should not exist anyway. The person that OWNS the VEHICLE doing the shipping should be able to handle the shipment ANY WAY THEY PLEEZ without any DOT interference/shipment cop buttin' their snoots in.

I and other dealers have to follow the current regulations for usps shippable motors, and hobbylinc is NOT. Even estes has to ship hazmat for bp E and F motors and says so on their website. I would assume if there was hope of any exemption, Estes would have it.

I don't give a Rat's patoot whether or not the vendors that ship goods are following some arbitrary shipment regs for something that should NOT be regulated in the first place.
If a law or regulation is arbitrary or written by those that don't have a clue about what they are regulating, I don't care if some vendors are RIGHTEOUS SCOFFLAWS. WHO says a dealer HAS to follow the regs ?

Then what was your point in bringing it up? I simply pointed out that they not following usps regulations, I thought that was your question. I only care personally because I don't want a fine and don't want to litigate to prove a point.

I brought it up as a way for those interested to get their E/F motors for a more reasonable price. No IDIOTIC hazz-mutt fee.

I am in favour of eliminating the hazmat fee for all dealers, manufacturers, users based on facts and prior tests. No arbitrary rules. I believe Gary and I have the data to support it.
It's for the children. |
