I’ll likely punch holes in the coupler for venting, and it wouldn’t need to have punched holes in the tube, so it would be faithful to the Farside look. I’ve vented the booster in my Double Mini Max, and it stages perfectly. The booster motor tube is extended, to get the gases well directed into the upper stage A10. (The booster tube is the Mini Max main tube, 5” long, so it’s a large separation between motors.) I’ve only flown this rocket on A10s, preferring the larger nozzle diameter for staging, and extra kick from the booster.

When properly vented, it is possible to gap-stage 10"+.

Well, we now have the C5-3 back finally.
A big thank you to the Langford ownership. Now we need the C5-0 back, and hopefully can get the B8 or B14 back, in all 0,3,5,and 7 flavors. They should discontinue the C6-3; nothing the C6-3 does that the C5 doesn't do better. I would gladly have the entire B6 line discontinued for the B8/B14. The B4 actually has more kick off the pad than the B6 thrust curve. If the B8-3 came back, the Mars Lander could be safely flown on a B motor. Not so with the B6-2.

most needed SU BP ? any that have 90% of their rated Total Impulse when tested at sea level and not at 5300 ft at Estes HQ in Penrose.
How about require re-certification every century? Most Estes BP certified engines haven't been re-tested since 1995.....that's 25 years ago! Really? Don't get me started. other than that issue, how about a A3-6T 13mm , A3-2T 13 mm

As we continually lose flying fields, or have them shrink smaller and smaller, we (I anyway) find that we still like to fly bigger models but have the ability to recover them in small places. The C11 was a great addition and the C5 was a sight to see upon its return to production. The next logical extension would be the B14/B8. I'd do the same with the B8 as I did with the C5, buying up a good supply of them the second they become available. A higher thrust BP D would be nice too, just to give Gary some competition with his new composites, but a B8 would be my next request, especially since I never flew a B14 or B8. I've had to resort to the next best thing, which is a cluster of A8's, but you have to build a model specifically for that.

I voted 29mm E/F50-x
Something with a little more oomph than the current E16-0/F15-0. Although I have staged the F15-0/F15-8 in a light weight rocket it would be nice to have higher thrust for a booster application. With a 29mm F50-0 to a 24mm F20 you could also recreate a somewhat decent replication of an FSI Mach-1 Dart with booster flight. I'd build another one just for that!

None of the options presented float my boat but a good long burn D motor that is plugged for gliders would be a nice option that doesn't require plugging or digging out the ejection charge.

I honestly think we have more than enough motors that are low thrust in the BP SU category but have relatively NONE that are high-thrust for size other than the C5. That one we only recently got back. I would really like the DRILLED-CORE B14 back, then possibly something like a D30 based on the D12 or a F50 based on the F15.

I really liked the old Rocketflite F104 (revised to F50) Silver Streak motor.

I remember being with my uncle when he launched his Estes Farside. It would have been 1976 or 1977. Beautiful rocket with glass like fins. The first stage separated maybe 20 or 30 feet. Never recovered the third stage. It was a B14-0 in the first stage.
