Has anyone heard of this company or maybe purchased this model at any point?

I came accross this on ebay and have never heard of the company or the rocket/booster depicted. I went over to EMRR to see if the vendor or rocket was listed there but it isn't.

I'm curious as to how this thing works and if maybe it could be cloned/re-created. It sounds kind of cool.

I had one of these and sold it about six months ago. I think you would have somewhat of a problem cloning this because of the plastic hub.

It's certainly a unique item and I picked it up as a trade about 10 years ago from a guy in New York state.

It's one of those companies from years past that have come and gone as the case with many other smaller companies.

Don't know much about them but the plans are posted on YORP.

Not on the plastic hub, but the blades (aitframe) is also plastic. They come up every so often.

Its a novel toy and they made other kits. I have a couple of their catalogs somewhere and if I find them, I will post them. The RR-2 is just a booster unit fitted to the RR-1.

Dr. is correct, just another company that folded back in the day. And look at that hub assembly!

I guess this would be extremely difficult to clone. There's a lot of plastic parts in there. Too bad the company didn't make it. It looks like they really put a lot of effort into their kits if this one is any indicator.

The best intentions can go down in flames very easily, they don't have to be small or large, having the right product at the right times is the key.

These come up fairly regularly on Ebay and usually go for around $35 or so.

The same company also made a flex-wing glider rocket which occasionally shows up on Ebay as well.

Good point RD. That's one more reason to be grateful for the fantastic mom and pop shops out there that support our Rocketry related needs day after day.

Thanks for the info on the value of the kit. I had not seen this rocket before and had no idea how much this particular kit would be worth.
