Extra Credit: Model every Saturn V that ever flew. Extra Credit #2: More points if you can get the Skylab Saturn V to shed the heat shield and one solar panel wing to fly off in the air.

That "Extra Credit #2" would be FAR more difficult than the #1.
Not sure it could consistently be performed at all without onboard radio controls.

The truth is I bought two of the new one just offered. The others were bought when BMS made them over eight years ago. Back then other vendors would sell them. Those were the days' when I was working and the vendors would run a sale on them. I could afford them better back then. I'm retired now so I can't afford to buy like I could then.
I have given a few away to people that I liked there builds threads on forums like this. I sent one to Chris (hcmbanjo) a few years ago that he could build on his blog when he felt like it. I have some of the first runs of this kit where the engines were made a different way(see picture) so these were not bought all this time around. I have built two of them over the years. One was raffle off to raise money for a rocket program for a high school in my area and the other was given away to a friend. I plan to build another one of these days. They are my Catcher her in the Rye. If you know what I'm talking about. |

I thought at least some of them were bought during the previous production run.
I did not think you bought ~30% of this production run

It could probably be done at ejection without much fuss, but to look right, it needs to happen around burnout where it's low enough to see and the effect doesn't get lost with all the stuff coming out for recovery. Let's go real old school and only give extra credit if done without electronics!
