Maybe they got the last batch from Estes and there not packaged with required California warning labels?

I decided to order 5 packs and the order went through. I will know by 4/9 if the order can be processed.

Now I should note that at the time the C11s were discontinued by Estes, the order came from Hobbico. Now that Ellis Langford, a rocketeer, owns Estes Industries, perhaps the C11s may be ordered back into production. One can hope.

Found 5 packs of C11-3, at the Kansas Cosmosphere, for 10.99 each pack. Little high, but not if you do not have any. Thought about taking them all, but already stocked up, so left them for someone else.

Default C11-x mailing campaign

Greetings:

Earlier this week, I mailed a personalized card to Estes asking for the C11-X motors to be put back into production. I urge other rocketeers to do the same.

I got some more C11s from Taekondo Rockets but I probably got the last of them.

FWIW - The new 2018 Estes Catalog is available in pdf form here:

https://www.estesrockets.com/media/...WEB_VERSION.pdf

Page 84 lists C11-3, 5, and 7, and Page 85 lists the C11-0.

Interestingly the website only lists the C11-0 and C11-7. https://www.estesrockets.com/rockets/engines/c11-and-d

AC Supply Co indicates they have them all in stock, including the C11-3 and C11-5. https://www.acsupplyco.com/estes/engines.htm

When you order from AC Supply, the prices are 40% off and free shipping at $100 and above.

Default C11s are Back ?

I am curious when the 2018 catalog was compiled and fully corrected. Are there some "vaporware" items left from the Hobbico days or are the items listed really available ? It does take time to redo the catalog.

There were quite a few items that like the AP motors that reappeared in the 2018 catalog. Are they in stock ?

Anyhow, I will be happy if the C11 motors are put back into production.

There are also some kits listed in there that had been marked as discontinued by AC and others. Are those also, now, not out of production? Or do they have a warehouse full and need to advertise? I thought I had read that the 29mm E and F motors were going OOP but I can find them anywhere they would normally be.

It will be really interesting what style changes he makes in the product line. Hobbico put a huge dent in good news but the overall corporate structure and industry took them out. With Estes being private again they have wide latitude.

I saw someone started a petition to restart C11 production, if you're inclined to participate.

This is wonderful news! Not only are C11s good for lighter BT-50 rockets (as well as for flying D12-designed birds from smaller fields and/or on windier days), but the fact that these motors are back indicates that Estes is responsive to feedback from its customers.
