What is your favorite model rocket to launch?
I had a rocket launch with my brothers yesterday. We launched several different rockets including the following -
Estes Dude Estes Honest John Estes Helicat Estes Executioner Estes Sentinel (2 x 18 mm cluster) US Rockets Interroc (3 x 24 mm cluster) My favorite was the Estes Executioner on a E9-4 engine. I am looking for some other cool model rockets to add to my fleet. What is your favorite model rocket to launch and why? Best regards, Brian

My son's Saturn 1B....it's a no brainer. Not only is it majestic and photogenic as it lifts off, but since it's not mine, I don't have to worry about getting my rockets hung in trees, or catos, or crunched landings, or smashed escape towers, or....

My personal favorite is Der Red Max. Fly it just about ever time I launch. I've built a BT56 downscale and I'm working on a 4" upscale.

There's a certain type of rocket I like flying and prepping. BT-60 to BT-80, big fins, moderate altitude, sturdy, no-tape motor installation.
So: Der Red Max, maybe the Big Bertha, and a few custom models made specially with these attributes in mind: |

My favorite rocket is the Big Brute - I had over 100 flights on the original NCR version when I pranged it through a dugout roof, I replaced it with the Estes version which has 100 flights or more.
My second favorite was my "Javelin 40" a 4x version of the Centuri Javelin I started with more than 40 years ago - that suffered a G80 Cato and is waiting to be rebuilt

I would have to go with my Nike-X. It has had more launches than any of my rockets. The paint and fins are starting to show it!

That's a real tough question. It'd be a toss up between my Deuce's Wild or my Lexxjet. Insanely awesome on a F39.

How has your LexxJet flown for you? Did you think it would really fly the first time you launched it? |
