I spent a few minutes and put together this list of K-Kits including cloning info (nose cones used, and whether they are available as kits from Estes or Semroc - didn't have room to include the same from BMS, although they have some of them available as well. The file is in DOC format - I will try to convert it to pdf when I get home tonight.

Yeah I know. I was just having fun with the mental image of a X-Ray getting totally FUBAR'd on the hood....and hearing somebody say (about the rocket, not the car) "That'll buff right out!"

You people are a really bad influence! Now, after putting together my list of K kits, I got a wild hair to try to clone as many of them as possible. Looks like I'm gonna be making an order to Semroc pretty soon (I've got about half of the K kits they offer so far) and I'm gonna ave to get building and painting pretty soon!

Just got a bunch more K kits from Semroc:

Starlight, Shrike, Omega, Midget, Sprite, Mark, Space Plane, Space Man, Nighthawk and Constellation. That brings my total of K kits (built and mostly unbuilt) to 31 out of 59. I figure at this point, that the hardest ones to re-create will be the Gemini Titan, Thor Agena-B, Semi-Scale Saturn V, and Saros. Fortunately, I already have a Phantom version B, and the version A was just clear payload tube and a balsa nose cone, so that one can be re-created.

The sickness continues!

24 that I actually built and flew. Also got a Mars Lander and Orbital Transport, but I was not up to building them properly at the time.

From the list below, nearly all were original Estes kits, built and flown in the early to mid 1970's, except for the Space Plane in 2008 which was a custom scale-up for R/C at 2X and 4X sizes. I also built a Falcon, which never worked, around 1970 or 71, then recently built a modified normal sized Falcon plus a 2.5X R/C Falcon. Also built two to three Sky Darts at the time, then years later a 2X R/C scale-up.

K-3 Space plane

K-7B Phantom

K-13 Falcon

K-15 Delta (Flew Camroc but only single staged with Camroc)

K-17 Aerobee 300

K-18 X-Ray

K-21 Gemini-Titan

K-23 Big Bertha

K-27 Honest John

K-37 Scrambler

K-39 Semi-Scale Saturn-V

K-44 Birdie

K-46 Shrike

K-47 Cherokee-D

K-50 Interceptor

K-51 Sandhawk

K-52 Omega

K-53 Stinger

K-54 Saros

K-55 Goblin

K-56 Alpha-III

K-57 SkyDart

K-58 Demon

K-59 SPEV
