I checked out the Firefox page yesterday

It APPEARS as though they have 18" lengths of the firework-grade body tube available now. This is the one that fits the plastic fin units and the soft plastic nose cones. The fact that they are uncut means they can be mailed to people who don't have a pyro manufacturers' permit.

Bad news is that the fin units are no longer listed.

I sent an email to see if the units were omitted from the catalog page by error.

If they have fins, tubes, and cones, I'm ordering a whole bunch and putting together Sky Bird and Dirty Bird short-run kits!

You won't get the Dirty Bird cones in plastic, but hopefully something close will be available in balsa. If not, Gordy may be able to make them for you. I feel quite confident that the modern fin units will turn out to be available, and we've already seen in this thread that the nose cones are out there.

Semroc has a balsa equivalent of the MMI nose cone (BNC-40G). It even shows as in stock as of today.

Excellent, thanks.

No word from Firefox yet.

I have a set of cones a member here sent me. Having a senior moment and will have to look him up. He'll get a few tube and fin sets, if it all comes together.
