Default My Carlotta 2005-2016

Today at 1500 CDT my wife had to have my sweet Maine Coon Carlotta put to sleep. She had cancer of the stomach and intestines and was beyond help.

I didn't get to see her on her last day because I'm down in Orlando and she wouldn't have lasted until I returned--not would it have been fair to her.

I don't know if it's true or not, but I want to believe that God watches over our animal companions and that they are innocent, precious, and forever young in His sight.

Good bye, my sweet kitty. Will I see you on the other side?

I hope so.

Jeff,

My condolences. I know how tough it can be. We lost our two cats in a house fire a year and a half ago. I was crushed ... still am.

Thoughts and prayers, Jeff. We are treating our Siamese weekly until his kidney disease starts making him uncomfortable. Not looking forward to that time.

That's so sad, and I'm so sorry. I love my cats, and it just killed me the time I had to put down my 21 year old tabby, Max. Remember all the good times.

My sympathies Jeff... Pets are family and losing them is hard.

Judging from your pictures, she must have been a very sweet and loving cat.

Oh, dang. I'm sorry to hear the news. Eleven is unfairly young for a cat, but cancer can strike any time.

I'm very sorry you didn't get a chance to say good bye; it was hard, but I'm glad I was able to sit by my dog when she had to check out -- lymphoma -- last year.

Thank you everyone for your condolences.

She was a very special and loving cat and could ALWAYS make this old sea dog feel better.

So sorry to hear this, pets become a loving member of our families. We have a 15 year old Boston Terrier and that day is now sooner than later.

My Granddaughter gave me a coffee cup with a Boston on one side and this on the other "When I am wrong, he is delighted to forgive. When I am angry, he clowns to make me smile. When I am happy, he is joy unbounded. When I am a fool he ignores it.....He has taught me the true meaning of devotion."

So sorry for you loss, Jeff! I know how hard that is! I lost two of mine last year. I really miss them; Pumpkin a tri-color, and my silver/grey Main Coon, Bogart.

I have to believe that they are taken care of in the hereafter as their lives are just as precious.
