Default Estes 7275 Sterling Silver

This was on the door prize table at the NARAM-60 Banquet last night. A pretty little 18mm minimum diameter two-stager....that’s not even on the Estes web site. The kit face card shows a production date of 3/28/18.

Flown C to C it would be a real challenge to recover on most sites.....

18mm minimum diameter 2-stager... and it's skill level 1? Interesting. Certainly an easy build but as you say, not an easy recovery. 2600 ft for a little guy like that would be crazy.

Note that it, along with the Alpha VI, are the first Estes kits to say they are from Estes Industries, LLC. What's slightly interesting about that is that the sale didn't go down until after the date stamped on the header card.

I know now that the Langfords had intended to buy Estes back when Hobbico first shopped it out, before the auction was called by the court, and that is probably why they were the "stalking horse" bid. He said the auction was a "complication", so maybe it was assumed in March in China that 'Estes Industries, LLC' would be it. Or maybe there's some time warp technology we don't know about.

That is interesting. The kit has a late March production date stamped into that header card.

I know the Alpha VI was “in the works” even before the Hobbico bankruptcy. But that doesn’t mean the printed materials were necessarily done then. I’ll look at the production date on the Alpha VI I got at NARAM when I get back to the house. Am in Santa Fe, NM visiting family right now.

The Alpha VI's that were on the raffle table all had 'Estes Industries, LLC' printed. Didn't check to see what the stamp was. My Alpha VI is en-route from the Pueblo UPS Store so I can't check for any stamp.

The Black Brant III had 'Estes-Cox Corp.'

By the way, here's Initiator001 and Shredvector at the banquet.

The Alpha VIs I came away with (actually three of them) all have late March date stamps on the face cards.

Roy - I guess you and I never did connect....sorry ‘bout that.

Yes, I always saw you pass by while I was in conversation with others. There's a few people I didn't connect with all week, and others that seemed to be popping up every five minutes. The results of Brownian Motion, I suppose.

Why does that make me want to go make a cup of tea?
