SA-3 Goa
Comrades,
Here's something I didn't know and perhaps it escaped you as well: the SA-3 Goa surface-to- air missile transitions it's rear fins from storage mode to flight mode at the moment of launch. Picture 3 is a line drawing showing the configuration change. Note that the rear fins pivot about their lowest point. Picture 4 shows a launch at the moment of ignition with the fin rotation beginning., Picture 1 shows two missiles on a launcher. The nearer missile's fins are rotated back already and the farther missile has the fins in the configuration we usually see it, that is, stored. Picture 2 shows a launch with the fins clearly transitioned to the rear. So do you build it flight mode or storage mode or do you work out the pivot for points? And all I was looking for was paint-job pictures for Semroc SAM-3 . . . .
