Thanks for posting that link, Bernard. I'd never read it before, and it was a very good memoir about the foundations of our hobby.

You're welcome. It's a great read....and it's not as easy to find as it once was as the "Model Rocketry Museum" section of Quest's web site is no longer linked from the top page. There are also copies of quite a few of the letters that went back and forth between GHS and Orville Carlisle out there. They are another window into the founding of the hobby that are a great read.

(and now we have the actual letters in the Museum of Flight's sport rocketry collection)

I tried cutting the URL down to before the Stine letter and keep getting an error - can you supply the link to get to the other letters?

I must be holding my mouth wrong

It's really cool to see some of these old documents. It gives one an amazing perspective on the history of our great hobby!
