Default Lot of 26 rockets on Ebay

Found this looking through auctions tonight.

Lot Of 26 Model Rockets Estes Quest Semroc More *AS IS* - bidding was at $164.50 and ends in 10h is anyone is interested. There are 3 Mercury Redstones and a Little Joe II in there.

Ebay Auction lot of 26 rockets

I'm not bidding on or selling this. Wife would flip out if I brought home 26 rockets all at once. Just thought some may be interested.

Finished at about double what I would have paid.
Nothing really special there.

$9.71 a kit including shipping. Three MR's for the the price of one, that is truly a horrible deal.

It's not the cost per kit, it's the selection of kits that make it a "truly horrible deal" for me. There's only two or three that I'd care anything about having. Some are just not interesting to me. The ones that are interesting I already own, so I'd just be getting spares.

I view it as a bargain. Not too many kits sell for under $10.00. Too each his own however.

It would be a bargain for someone who doesn't own many kits, or even somebody who plans to resell some of them.

I'm just not into Yankees (the team or the kit), or having a bunch of HL-20's. The MR's would be a decent deal for the capsules, but I don't like the most recent release kit with all the plastic and peel-n-cuss decals. Multiple Baby Berthas would be interesting if I were more into Goonybird bashing.

There was another auction running at the same time with plenty of cool stuff including old Maxi-Brute Pershing 1A and Honest John kits in various stages of disrepair that I would have loved to get my hands on. The Pershing nosecone looked to be in great shape. However, somebody obviously has more money to burn than me and left my max bid in the dust. I already have all the Maxi-Brutes, but my old kits are now retired and I'd like to have a second set to fly.

You just reminded me of something. I have several of those resin cast Pershing NC/Fins sets from alienware I think was there name. I keep meaning to see if someone can cast more of those.

I also would like another Pershing to fly.

Was it Alienware? I have a set of the cast fins and nosecone as well, from about 10 or so years ago. I just don't recall who it was that was selling them. I do recall thinking how heavy they were once I got them.

See your thinking exactly what I am, there nice but heavy. I never used them because I was concerned I was flying a brick more than a Pershing. Thats why it would be nice if someone could cast those in a newer 'modern' material that would be lighter.

Im not much into the casting so the ins and outs are unknown to me.
