Smithsonian Air and Space Museum
Here is a link to some photos from our recent trip to DC. All from the downtown location, we were not able to get out to Dulles on this trip. What a cool place!

Nice photos....it is a wonderful place to visit. I never tire of walking through the galleries, though I have not yet had the chance to make it to the newer Dulles extension as of yet.
Speaking of that, space shuttle Discovery will be flown into Dulles this coming week for its official receiving at the Dulles Udvar-Hazy museum. (I may not have the name of the Dulles wing of the Air & Space museum spelled exactly right). Earl

The main hangar at Dulles is simply amazing. Take the early coach out there or you will be strapped for time if you plan on doing a single day. About the most poignant part for me was seeing Enterprise with a big chunk of leading edge removed for the Columbia investigation.

I never made it downtown but I did get to Dulles back in '08. That place was awesome.

The Air and Space Museum and the AF Museum are two places I would never get bored at.
