Maybe if a bunch of people ask him nicely, John Boren will bring back the LTV Scout as a kit to Estes!

Isn't someone making 3d printed parts for the LYV Scout?

I have looked all over Google looking for such evasive fins. I am sure I could replicate them if I could ever come across a donor or drawings with dimensions. I have a pile of styrene stock from building Semi truck models for years.
If someone had one they could let me borrow I would give them a crisp box of Estes Citation motors for the favor.

If they are, I don't know about it.

I noticed your name "LTV Scout" any chance you would have a pattern or suggestions on recreating fins for a long forgotten Estes Buildup of the same ?

Dewalt,

The LTV Scout is one of my favorite prototypes . . .

I have a lot of data on it and, if you'll send me an e-mail at Ez2cDave@aol.com , I will send you a Dropbox invitation to 3GB of LTV SCOUT Scale Data !

Another possible source for decals in general is Tango Papa Decals. I've used them before -- great product. I contacted Tom Prestia last month, and he is still in the business. His website just needs updating. He also has ad in the latest Sport Rocketry magazine.

Also, I have a color laser and it is lousy for decals. Not sure the newer models would be any better. I'm in the market for a wireless inkjet, and making decals is a high priority. Has anyone here used the new Epson EcoTank ink jets with the refillable tanks? I love the idea of buying bottles of ink, instead of cartridges.

Scott,

Is Kurt still making decals? He made me a set of green Orbital Transport decals, but I don't recall how I even arranged to have them made. This was probably 10 or more years ago. I just remember discussing custom decals with him. Here is a picture of my OT. I thought he did a great job, super sharp decals (but not a hi-res pic, obviously).

That OT looks cool with green decals. I wonder how it would look like with dark blue ones?

I'm not sure. He's a member here so you could PM him, although he hasn't been on in awhile. His handle is: kurtschachner

Uggghhh. Kind of like Estes' remake of the Payloader II. It's re-sized for easier to get tubing.
