Yes, if you search through the back issues of the Apogee Newsletters, you should find quite a few of them. I'm sure there are others, but I've got nothing on them.

I was thinking that it was more like thinking outside the silverware drawer.
Or "inside" in this case.

Default Shrox Kit Plans

Folks, I haven't located the specific post yet, but several months ago, Shrox poked his head in and asked that his designs not be posted or shared, as he had plans for them. I do believe this excludes his "published plans" (for example, those plans in the Apogee Newsletters).

Anything like the Star Shuttle, Alien8, and so on (that were kitted up and available for sale at one time or another) would seem to be off limits based on his request. I don't think there's anything preventing anyone from taking the time (as EchoVictor and Sandman did) to analyze the available Shrox artwork and make their own "interpretations" of his Shrockets, but a straight "parts list and plans" approach that we know and love for cloning the older Estes/Centuri designs would be a no-no.

I love Shrox's designs as much as the rest of us, and I think we should respect his wishes. That having been said, I'm drooling for the next chance to pickup any of his kits, as they're fun builds (and have that "cool" factor that we all dig).

Just my two cents.

Bob,

Pretty much in your back yard. (By which I mean Apogee Components, the fine folks that brought us RockSim.)

Here are the plans and files for the Shrox designs that were published in Apogee's "Peak of Flight" newsletters, but they're not the "official" Shrockets that are seen at the beginning of this thread:

So there ya go. That's all I got.

Cheers,

Dean, not to mention the 3 Shrox rockets that are being re-released by Estes under new names this year!
