Skies were clear, breezes were light, so I headed up to the field with a box o'rockets. As soon as I picked my spot, I turned around to find a Hummer pulling into the parking area. Sure enough, 2:00 practice. The coach offered me the outfield, but I didn't want to be a distraction. (Last year I stopped a t-ball game DEAD when I launched one from the other field. Every kid there stopped and stared, then screamed a collective "COOL!" when the chute popped.) I'll try again at 4:00.
