Default Wilsonville, OR; August

Oregon Rocketry held one of its monthly model rocket launches in Wilsonville today.

No youth groups this time, so the old timers had more time to launch our own models. We had three or four newcomers in addition to a half dozen or so regulars.

I saw one beautifully built Big Daddy hung up in a tree, otherwise there were no lost or damaged models.

It was awfullly hot, but I managed to stay hydrated and last long enough to launch:

Mrs. Hustler, twice. Turns out to fly nicely on a D12-3 as well as a D12-5.

Astron Elliptic, A10-0/A3-4T. Nice high flight; didn't have to walk that far.

Quest Zenith II, A8-0 to A8-3. This was actually not a short delay situation. This is a good combo for small fields.

Scratch-built Skyhook clone, 1/2A3-2T. Solid performer.

Viking I clone from BMS. B6-4.

Space Twins -- old Model Rocket News plan --- B6-4. The wind ****ed the gliders to the side a bit, and they fell off under boost. However, the booster had a fairly stable remaining flight, and the gliders simply had a shorter than average flight.
