Jimi, one sold on Ebay last year in May for $37.58. The rocket kit it contained was the Flare.

That is a neat find. I had purchased one of the MRI launch pads a while back. I have a MRI Zenith II and a Lamda klit. Also a few MRI motors. Back in the late 60's I flew a BT-55 model on an MRI B3-3 motor. The model cleared the rod and fell to the ground. The model had flown successfully on Estes and Centuri B's.

That's cheap, IMHO. I also have one of those in my collection. I remember buying it for a song on eBay about 10 yrs ago.

I've never, ever seen one of those before. Didn't even know that MRI made a starter set!

I bought a few MRI kits from AVI in the mid 70s.

If I came across something like this, I'd donate it to the NAR benefit auction. I wouldn't make money off of that, but the bidding would probably be frantic, since the crowd would know what they're dealing with.

I've never seen a full starter kit, though I bought a MRI (I think) launch pad. Looks like the one in the picture, but mine came w/a little red ball to cap off the launch rod.

I bought a number of MRI kits off of Myke that he signed for me.
