What would be a fair price?
Somebody wants to buy my still-in-the-box, FSI Black Brant II. What do you think is a fair price?
Thank you for your input

For the BUYER or the seller ?
I think $13.98 seems about right.

lets see....based on inflation here....this Kit was 29.99 usd in 1985...the current adjusted price would be 65.08 usd in 2013....but the provenance/desire factor has not been added in

A good clone of that kit today, at $65 retail, would sell like hotcakes. Bill

I snagged one off eBay late last year for $60, but thought at the time I had gotten a bit lucky.......thought at least $80 or so would have been a fair price.
That was a fairly large kit for it's day. Earl

It's worth what you can get for it but I'd say Roy is pretty close, $70-$75 + shipping.

I'd say about $85 plus shipping.

Guys,
Semroc has most of the parts for the clone including the tubes and the balsa for a lot less than $60. I have a set of original FSI fins that are going on some Semroc clone parts I ordered a couple of years ago. I haven't decided on power but it'll be either 24 or 29 mm power. Its actually next up as soon as I clear up the present jam on my build queue. On the other hand, $60 for a complete original kit doesn't offend me.

I got a "mostly" finished one a few years back that I need to finish.
I don't remember what I paid but It wasn't much. It can\me with the original box, plans and the goose decals someplace... It does have a cool modification to the nose cone. Picture this; It came with an all balsa nose cone...very fragile. Mine had broken off and repaired. The original owner came up withe an ingenious idea. He carefully cut the shoulder off the nose cone of an Estes BB II kit. He matched the top cut off portion of the Estes BB II nose cone to the FSI balsa cone . Glued the Estes tip on the balsa cone, blended it in and painted it. It was so good a match the I had the thing for quite a while before I noticed it.
