Default Aries SST - Scratch build?

I am interested in building the Estes Aries SST from scratch and would like to know if any of you might know were I might purchase things like the body tube, nose cone..... I already have the plans and the full size templates for all the fins, I just need what is listed above.

Any help?

Thanks you,

Get used to that sentence. You can use it over and over again and again and again.

Here's a redraw of the decals for that kit. I cheated a little on the "Aries SST" logo, that's a pickup from the scan rather than a redraw. But the rest is vector artwork.

The long thin red and black markings above the window panes has a slight curve to it. This unfortunately may cause some stair-stepping in your printout but I think it still looks pretty good.

I have those decals on my website

http://excelsiorrocketry.com/

Look under "Classic Waterslide Decals"

Then go to "ESTES Classic Decals"

Default Upscale!

I've always thought that bird just *screamed* "upscale to D or E power!".

Gordy --- how big can you go and still keep the decals on a single sheet?

I have it for a BT-55 and BT-56 and I think I can squeeze a BT-60 on a single sheet.

Any bigger would take more than one sheet. Even with the BT-55 I have to cut the main stripe in half. It's longer than the paper.

I know its been a while on this Thread, but I have a question.

Could you tell me where your CG ended up being?

Loaded motor recovery everything? It would really help me with a starting point. I am building a 6.0" diam version.

Thanks

I have no idea. I pretty much build the bird like the plans say, and send it up in the air. To date no issues. I have never designed a rocket or scratch build one. Wish I could be of more help.
