Your Centuri fleet looks great and you picked some of Centuri's best designs!

Those cones can all be done in balsa. Semroc/eHobbies already has most if not all of them. The worrisome parts are the little detail pieces on a couple of the old kits.

For a display model, yes. But for flying, those things are really heavy. I can finish a balsa nose cone that you can't tell from plastic unless you pull it out of the tube, and even with the sealer, primer, and paint it will still be a lot lighter. If it's a flight model, I'd stay away from resin cast unless it's a model that requires considerable nose weight with blow or injection molded cones.

Thanks for all the replies... I lost my Internet access last week and only just got it back last night. Unfortunately for me, I am slammed at work right now, so I'll have to wait to check out all the links.

I'm a bit late to this party, but finally got to look up what I had - these are the reference dimensions I have for the Groove Tube:
Centuri 'Groove Tube' #KA-11 Q Desc Stk Num Size Other 1 Nosecone 2 part plastic PNC-89 .865 .908 4.6 Red 1 Shock Cord SC-18 1/8" x 16" Rubber 1 Shock Cord Fastener SCF-1 Self Stick 1 Parachute CP-12A 12" Yel/Blk 1 Body Tube ST-818 13" Cut off 5" 6 Stabilizing Tubes ST-83 3" 1 Thrust Ring TR-7 1 Centering Ring HTC-8 1" 1 Engine Tube ST-73 3" 1 Engine Lock ? metal clip 1 Foil Tape DC-33 4" X 1" Chrome Mylar At one point, Gordie had decals for both the Centuri model (built with Semroc parts) and for the BT-60 upscale. He may still have some in inventory or have limited capability to print them - you might want to check with him.

Hi Greg, Thanks for the info. That gets me further along than anything else I'd found. I doubt that Gord would ever sell to me again (even if I wanted to buy from him). Same thing goes for Don.
