Johnny Carson's monologue about cleveland REMAINS correct. That city is still a pit.
Detroit has been a dump since about the mid 60's and continues to go downhill.
The ONLY things worthwhile about Detroit are the sports teams, the casinos, and General Motors.
The rest of the city should be leveled and is a drain on the rest of the state and Detroit suburbs.

You don't like Ford, the only company that tried not to take the bailout money? Or do you not count Dearborn as part of Detroit?

That's what you get with over 50+ years of OH YES WE CAN.

Oh Ya, about the rocket. The Dude was used by a father and son team to win the Odd Roc
contest. I think I remember it beat out the fling Sh*t house. ( if that don't tell you something).

I had a chance to buy several models of the Dude Closed-Out real Cheap
at Walmart, I passed.

I don't know if they show the actual footage of the Dude in flight, but go to
Large and Dangerous Rocket Ships with Kari Byron on Google and you might find it.

I saw that episode, and you're right she is quite fetching!

I count Ford, but Dearborn is outside of the city of Detroit. Thus it is moot for this discussion.

I honestly do not get all the fascination with Kari Byron.
I would rate her at best a 5 out of 10 and she dresses like a trashy tramp.
I work with several women that completely put her to shame on looks and most likely are at least as intelligent.

Well, when you are living in your parents cellar, with just a tattered old poster of Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kari can be pretty hot because that is the only TV show you watch. Not many chicks at the launch, not many in the hobby store, maybe one or two at the Mini Mart when I ride up on my bike to get a slurpy. So 5 outa 10, dressin' like a tramp and not too smart ain't so bad. It may be one in a million but at least I have a chance!

I used to kind of think the same way about the chick's that I knew when I lived in Detroit, but I left a long time ago. one thing I can say is I don't remember the Michigan women being as stuck-up as the women here in South Florida. and that's what I like about Kari Byron, she's not afraid to get her hands dirty and shes not afraid to Shoot guns . that's my kind of woman.

South Florida is the worst of all possible worlds. It's the south with northerners.

While "The Dude" is an out-of-production kit, I don't think it is one of the "more missed" ones, nor was it (if memory serves) said to be a great flier. However, I told her that it might make a satisfactory demonstration rocket for her teacher customers. Many thanks in advance for any price suggestion(s) that you (and/or anyone) can suggest!

Sorry for the delay.
I had two of these in mint condition and could not sell them for $10.00 each, but, ebentually they went for about $12.00

About the only reason to have one of these would be to put it into part of a collection, and, that's it.

I had gone down to the International Toy Fair in Feb many eyars ago and met up with the Estes "brass". Barry asked me what I thought about it (on display) and I said to him, this is not a rocket and how safe is it a flying balloon?? Got a dirty look , end of discussion.
