Prodyne! UniJet info?
Hopefully soon I will be in possession of a scanned copy of an orginal ProDyne catalog along with some scans of some ProDyne model rockets that appeared in a magazine back in the 60's called Amateur Rocketeer. As soon as I receive them I will of course supply Ye Old Rocketshoppe with the scans.
I was wondering if anybody out there has any documentation as far as catalogs for Unijet? tia terry dean nar 16158 Last edited by shockwaveriderz : 02-10-2008 at 10:17 PM. |

Today, quite unexpected I received a 1/4" thick package from John RahKonen of Prodyne.
En;cosed was a scanned copy of his 1964 catalog. It seems Pyrodyne had 3 modle rockets called the swift, skylark and swallow. Also included with the catalog is a 1964 price list. In addition are some letters from none other than G.Harry Stine that Stine wrote to John about NAR S7T testing his motors from 1963. Also included was a NAt Techical Report-20 entitled "Prodyne "Cyclone" Model Rocket Engines which include diagrams of the motors and thrust time curves. Seems there were 3 motors D2/E2/F2 and these were BP motors! They had a plastic casing with ceramic nozzles. I'll get to scanning as soon as possible and send them to Ye Old Rocketshoppe. now if I could only be so lucky to find some unijet stuff... terry dean nar 16158 Last edited by shockwaveriderz : 11-02-2006 at 03:39 PM. |

Terry,
I have a copy of the 1964 Uni-Jet catalog. I'm uploading a scan of the cover. Can soon scan the entire catalog for you if need be (although give me a few days... one of those busy weeks). Interesting stuff, with the "UJ Master Midget," which they labeled "the world's smallest 'real' model rocket." Best, Mark

Terry,
Here's a quick scan of the "Master Midget" rocket. This comes from a loose page actually inserted into the catalog at the last minute, along with a second "flyer" on red paper saying "We wish to advise that our series A,B and C engines for use on cars, boats and planes, are no longer available. It has been our decision, at this time, to manufacture only Midget size rockets and rocket type engines. ..." I'll get you the rest of the scans as soon as possible. Mark

Actually, here's a horizontal scan... lest we all have to rotate counterclockwise on that vertical scan I just sent...

Very interesting to see the photos from the ads. There are no pics in the actual catalog, just drawings.
