If there is a second contest you may want to consider opening it up to include up/down scales of past or existing kits... All three of the gliders I have worked on this year are RC upscales of classic kits .

The idea behind this contest was to get new designs out there.

Wow thanks for the post. The MIRV Griffon is a neat design. I've got the parts, now I just have to work out the time.

The MIRV Griffon I have was kitted by Seattle Rocketworks and is a two stage, 5-piece rocket
(1 booster with 4 sustainers that fly off in all sorts of directions!). It is not a boosted glider.

Do you have pictures?

I read the plans and downloaded. This design if it works has got to be crazy to watch as it "unfolds." I had forgot I was in the boosted glider arena of which I have three.

Thanks for making sure I was aware that this is not a boosted glider, it is just one crazy design. Talk about a "heads up." I'll have to count my BT-5s and nose cones and get to work. Those links you posted could keep a builder busy for two lifetimes. I thank you for bringing those resources into the light. I love the rocketry community cause of folks like you.

Pay Forward,

Jon
