Default B3-3X engines from 1975

I have several packages of B3-3X mini engines (dated AUG 30 1975) from a company called "Aeronautic and Space Co" 401 Wayside Ct., Nashville, TN.

Can anybody tell me something about the company?

Either Roy Green (RoyAlt) or Javelin might be able to.
Post some pictures.

Can't tell you anything about the company, but from looking at the photos up on
http://www.mr-windsor.info , I bet they're private-labeled AVI (MRI/MPC) motors.

Wow, thanks for the information. I actually found a photo of the engine from the same batch that I have!

I will be selling my collection of over 80 model rocketry engines from 1968 through 1975 at some point, including a shorty, three brands of minis, an FSI E5-2, an Estes D13-7, several Estes D12s. Most are loose, but many are in their original unopened packages.

If anyone is interested in the lot, write me at designtheworld@hotmail.com.

Yep, after MPC got out of the mod roc business, they sold all of the inventory including the model rocket making machine to Myke Berginski. He started AVI, who made motors under contract for ASC.

Two catalogs are available for viewing online via Ye Olde Rocket plans:

http://www.oldrocketplans.com/pubs/...asc_1975cat.htm

http://www.oldrocketplans.com/pubs/...asc_1976cat.htm

If the motors are still packaged in ASC labeling, they would be worth something to a rocket motor collector ... (Gee, I wonder who that could be...?)

Phred,

Those were MPC motors/production equipment which Myke Berginski purchased.

MRC came years later.
