Default Whatever happened to tmacklin?

Well, rumors of his death have been greatly exaggerated. Here's the straight skinny...
See Ted Macklin's Facebook Page

What? WTF OVER?

I had a rough time this Summer and an even worse Fall. While digging post holes for a cattle shed, I began having shortness of breath, rapid heart beat and a sensation of drowning. Turned out to be Congestive Heart Failure with an Arrhythmia on the side. I ended up in the Baylor, Scott & White-McKinney ER on Thanksgiving eve and spent most of the next week in their ICU unit being repaired. On Saturday, November 24,2018, I had another arrhythmia attack and my heartbeat went down to 40 beats a minute. Now I didn't actually see the Grim Reaper, but I could hear his God****ed footprints coming down in the hall!

Do not ignore these symptoms or you could be next!

So I'm released on Saturday, December 1, 2018 only to go home and have another episode until my second discharge this past Monday, December 17, 2018. I was slated for I pacemaker implantation but because of a failure to communicate I was still on an intravenous blood thinner called heparin so the surgery could not be done. I was agian sent home with a Voll Life Vest and told to rest. I've lost 40 pounds during this ordeal.

Wowwwww.
So sorry for your illness, Ted.
Glad the Grim Reaper turned away from your room in the hospital.
Get better soon.

Welcome back Ted!

You've been through stuff that would have likely done you in a decade or two ago; take advantage of all that modern medical care and start planning the build season!

Sorry you have had such a hard time. We hope you're better soon!

Verna,
Better hold off until Ted gets that pacemaker ... they do keep the heart from beating too fast, besides just keeping them beating, right?

Ted,

All the best as you continue your recovery. We'll be praying.

Thanks to one and all who have taken the time to send your prayers and well wishes to me. It is my sincere hope that some of you younger lads will heed the warning signs and thereby avoid the consequences.

If you smoke...stop and for the love of Jesus... do not start. Stop eating junk food, reduce your salt intake and above all else lose the carbs. Rant over. I now return you to your regular scheduled program.

Uncle Ted
