I'm not sure this picture had anything to do with the 'cross your heart bra' (or any other).



This picture could have been several decades ahead of its time in terms of both rocketry and foundation garments (or lack thereof).

But it does get hot out in the desert.

I knew what that meant when the first commercials started showing up, even though I was young enough that I didn't really understand why it was that important to either the women on the commercial, or the men watching it.

Lift and separate. I know what that means when it comes to model rocket boosters, but as to large mammaries I guess I will have to now ask Shrox.

I believe it's a gland suspension system utilizing two conical fabric fairings and an X-form chestial strap configuration.

There is some nifty 50's rocket science lingo I can understand!

I showed the pic to a girl who grew up in the 60's and she said bras with pointy tips on them were common then. Probably easier to fab than a form fitting one like today. Also wearing a bra was a social norm. Women burned their bras in the mid-60's and beyond.
