Default MPC Icarus-C

This is a pretty simple kit, but I'm kind of jazzed to finally finish it. I picked this up years ago on an Ebay auction. It was sealed, but when it arrived, I was shocked at the condition that the box was in. It looked like it had been stored under the storage pallet and when I opened the box, it was about what I expected. The main body tube had been partially crushed and the nose cone had been snapped in half, luckily a clean break, and the fin stock was warped beyond repair. Good deal!
The first thing I did was glue the nose cone back together. It went together easily and once it was dry it was really hard to tell that it had been broken. The body tube was brought back to life when the engine tube was slid into place. There's still a crease, but I can live with it, and I may be able to cover it up with Fill & Finish and paint. Since the fin stock was shot, I went with basswood fins and one of the alternate fin patterns. It turned out okay, and with a little luck, I'll get it flying on Saturday.
