Default Estes X-Ray other collectables

I am seeking collectors kits from the early 70"s. Kits like X-Ray, Farside three stage, Beta three stage, orbital transport and other multi stages and cluster kits. please let me know if anyone has these items for sale. I am trying to get my grandson involved in something other than nintendo LOL so i wanted him and I to build the rockets I built when I was a kid. Thanks

Let me begin by welcoming you back and once you build your first kit you will officially become a BAR (Born Again Rocketeer).

Original kits like the ones you are seeking go for pretty dear prices on Ebay. They are worth quite a bit of money and are concidered "collectable"...who knew?

Your best bet is to copy or 'clone' an old kit.

There are plans and parts available online from JimZ's web site

http://www.dars.org/jimz/estes.htm

and from Ye Olde Rocket plans.

http://www.oldrocketplans.com/

Once you've found the ones you want...well, come back here and we'll help you find body tubes, centering rings, nose cones, chutes, shock cords and decals.

We have people here that do just that.

Welcome back.

Default thank you

Thank you Sandman, I have those sites and already purchased lots of the classic vintage ones and they remain un openned. And they do get costly on ebay. but I found a shop in England that just sold me two Trident II kits for 50.00 us dollars. I will let everyone know who they are once they pass the test and I get the stuff.
Have a great day

I emailed Paul and he got back to me with some numbers. The exchange is right around $2 = £1 and shipping is ballparked at £4.99 for a kit and £12.99 for a few kits. He uses www.xe.com for current exchange rates and also told me buyers pay actual shipping charges...
