Default Electric Igniter for Water Rocket?

Just saw this on eBay.

Anyone have any idea what rocket it went with?

Never seen anything like this before.

That looks like an electrical igniter from one of the Vashon/Estes Cold Propellant rockets. This would allow one to push a button rather than pull a lanyard to initiate thrust.

Yes, that is the Vashon electrical igniter system.

I used a pull-pin on my Vashon rocket.

Agree. This is the Vashon/Estes electrical ignition system for the RP-12 Cold Power rockets.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

The only thing I can add is that it looks like an original Vashon diagram and such. I still miss my Valkyrie-II. *sigh*

To Bob's point the pull pin was the backup/safety interlock for this (as noted on the diagram as "safety pin"). But I suppose one could just have used that and not bothered with the electrical approach.
