Never got to the bar or restaurant, but the hotel was exceptionally nice. There was some kind of event going on when we were there on Saturday. I followed a woman down the hall whose dress was made out of less material than my bandana. Unfortunately she'd covered much of the exposed skin with a collection of really skanky tats. They partied well into the night. Tony and I got woken up around 4:30 by one drunk chick with a foghorn mouth.

Default NARAM 55 -My First NARAM

NARAM 55 was my first , I had other good reasons to visit Ohio as my brother lives a short distance away in Barberton. As I am not a contest flyer, the highlight for me was getting to meet Gordy from excelsior, and Carl, Sheryl and their son Bruce.
Saturday it was raining most of the day. and I was able to hang out with Gordon, he is a master
at wood working. some of the reproductions of tools and measuring instruments are true works of art. the all wood model of the Astron Sprint he built is so awesome to see in person a lot of the detail is lost in the pictures . as for the Semroc crew, if there is anything I like to talk about its old Model Rockets and talking to Carl and Sheryl was a very educational experience.
On Sunday I was able to launch 5 rockets on the sport range and meet some of the fine
people that share that I share this hobby with.
the only let down was that I did not get to meet Vern Estes.

By the way , is there any way to find out the out come of the auction.
I contributed some old motors and would like to know how they did.

I can say that the bar/restaurant ladies were great, and took very good care of our crew. Miss Jillian the bartender was always able to dig up some munchies at the oddest hour, and Miss Tiffany the server is actually a displaced Canadian; she originates from Orangeville, Ontario, not far from the town of Newmarket, where my family and I were stationed a number of years ago.

As Bill says, the hotel was very nice, and apart from some rowdy late night/early morning partiers, the place was fine.

John, it was great to meet you and the other gentlemen from Canada. it was good to see that
there are other guy's that also like the Classic Black Powder Powered Rockets. not that I don't launch an A.P. powered model now and then, I just like the slow smoke and flame lift off of
Black Powder. I really like a black powder cluster flight.
I was impressed at how many flights there where of Classic Models and Clones of Classic Models.

I do hope to see you next year. Neal Miller
