That's got to be the reason!

I know you're kidding, but you'd be surprised how often motors have off axis thrust even after the igniter has been spit out. That's one thing I learned using a high quality DSLR for liftoff shots. A rocket that has a short body and/or lifts off slowly is much more subjective to it. I've got photos here somewhere of a D12-0 with severe off axis thrust that contributed to the demise of my first Cineroc Omega clone with tv downlink.

I was kidding, but now you've got me wondering if it could have been the motor. Guess I need to do another Invader build.
