Default MPC Martian Patrol Video

Jimmy Yawn got a great video of my MPC Martian Patrol launch at last Saturdays N.E.F.A.R. launch.

http://nefar.net/gallery/2016-05/index.html

Scroll down to "Mars Patrol"

The engine was a C6-3 not a C6-5.
One saucer hovers the other one flips.
For those who remember it, a rare one.

Awesome! That's a pretty sweet field as well.

It is a great field, a sod farm.
N.E.F.A.R. is also a very well run club.

Rare rocket in action!

Mars Patrol is a frustratingly odd rocket. Other than the cool saucers it is a standard mix-of-MPC parts. Hard to find parts, so it would be difficult to clone.

I think it would be interesting to make a "revamp" Martian Patrol, with mecha-organic decor. Kind of like the Exoskel that Estes made. Veins and blobs and batwings. Two saucers hanging onto the body, like the original.

I wonder how you'd go about make custom foam discs?

If you're talented at carving, that craft foam might work. I tried to make a nose cone out of it a couple of years ago, but I'm clearly not talented at carving.
