Default Vintage Estes SARK build

I really need to thin out some of my rockets, I just picked one out of storage and it is the Estes SARK, all parts in great condition. I cut out the fins using the pattern supplied and brushing on Brodak Balsa Sealer right now. Should be a fast easy build.

Looks like fun. I know it's been discussed on the forum before, but where do you buy the Brodak?

I buy my Brodak at Prop Shop Hobbies in Warren Mi. or at Nankin Hobby in Farmington, Mi.
I have also ordered direct from Brodak when my LHS's don't have the colors I want.

Thanks. It's good to see that the Prop Shop is still there. I was there only once--when I was doing a job in Centerline.

Prop Shop Hobbies is about 3 miles away from my work location but about 63 miles from my home. It's a great "olde Tyme" hobby shop. Wish they still carried HPR stuff though. I buy most of my R/C "Odds and ends" stuff there like fuel, props, glow plugs, wheels, glue, dope, etc.

You don't see too many of these. The decals still look like they are in good shape for a vintage kit.

This is a fast easy build. Cut out the fins, brushed on 4 coats of Brodak sealer and painted with old Krylon paint. Tomorrow I will add the decals.

The old decals went on pretty nice for being old, anyway she is all done and on to the next build. Still trying to decide between the Estes Crusader or Der V3.....

That is a simple but very sharp rocket. I really like the spatter/fade decal up at the top of the BT.

I don't remember that model from the old catalogs at all.
