Default Gary Larsen's Farside Rocket... Semi-Scale

Here's a new twist on an olde theme.

1st I scaled the actual cartoon, then made an Open Rocket model, and then a CAD Model.

This gizmo attaches to the lower body tube and then glues into the nose cone.

That's looking really good! As a Gary Larsen fan, I think I remember another rocket themed single panel cartoon with three cows that had built a rocket and were getting to launch themselves in it. I'll see if I can find the cartoon.

This one?
The "cows rocket" is much more aerodynamic than the "rocket scientist" version.

Nose Cone Hub

I turned the nose cone hub from a scrap piece of a Southern Yellow Pine 4 x 4. Then cut the 22-1/2 degree angle with my chop saw, and drilled the 1" dia. hole.

I mocked up the upper tubes and the cone hub to check the fit.
