Exclamation New Design -- Rocket 14

Coming up with new names is getting to be more of a challenge than coming up with the design...

This is a long-body, almost-minimum-diameter futuristic type with very low Dv numbers and reasonably-high altitudes for each of three power classes.

Length: 35.70"
Diameter: 1.04" (ST-10)
Fin Span: 3.68"
Weight: 1.48 oz

A8-3......180'......Dv 8 FPS......36" x 1/8" Standard rod
B4-4......430'......Dv 3 FPS......36" x 1/8" Standard rod
C6-5......940'......Dv 6 FPS......36" x 1/8" Standard rod

The main BT is made up of a 9" length, and an 18" length, of ST-7. The coupler is positioned in the upper half of the length, but you could just as easily place the 9" tube at the bottom, and the 18" piece at the top. It shouldn't make any difference in the performance.

Use one 16" parachute, or two 12" parachutes, for recovery.

Enjoy!

Looks like a great rocket! Yet another to add to my "like to build" list...

Ditto, Craig! Very nice.

How would a 24mm 'D' or 'E-9' engine work?

I think another thread may have yielded a name: Zontaran Destroyer. Or is it a research ship?

Most likely a research ship. It doesn't have the nasty bits for destroying anything...

Tellurian Survey Ship - add discs/ellipses midway along the dowels as sensors.
