Are you serious?

If that's true, it's gotta be one of the biggest bureaucratic moves in history. While it might have been a mistake to start with, recalling them only makes it worse, IMO. (I'd be curious to know what other three-letter combos aren't allowed - I can think of lots of ~vulgar ones )

Anyway, can you imagine driving down the road and getting pulled over because you've failed to return your recalled plates? "Sir, I stopped you 'cause your license plate says 'WTF' on it." I'm sure my reply would be, "WTF?"

WTF-????

I saw a list once with the disallowed sequences. I would hate to be the license plate "censor" for the vanity tags.

Those plates would be hugely popular here in New York...

Especially with the p**ing Calvin crowd.
