Default Tubular and Ring Fins (Semroc)

Last week, I wrote (off-line):

Here's my experiment. The eight ST-5's fit *very* tightly around the ST-8, so it looks like I'll have to use the standard Groove Tube "glue by pairs" technique, not to mention securing them with an elastic shock cord while they dry. A 1" long launch lug will fit nicely between the ST-20 and a "notch" between two ST-5's.

HEY! That's a better picture than the one you sent me. You holdin' out on me?
I'm looking forward to seeing this one finished and flying. I definitely think you need to enter it in an EMRR contest.

What do you mean? It's exactly the same one! Maybe it just looks clearer because the "thumbnail's" smaller.

If you check your e-mail, you'll get a glimpse of another of my Top Secret Projects.

However, I *did* download some Unofficially Available Software, which confirmed my suspicions that the "5-8-20" design should fly nicely... and kind of draggy, like my 1.07X Groove Tube.

And as I've alluded elsewhere, I've got Big Plans for these designs. [insert maniacal laughter here]

Cheers,

Are you talking about the RockSim 8.0 beta software?

(mischievous look) Oh, yes, indeedy.
Of course, after I posted here, I went over to The Rocketry Forum (TRF) where they're BLABBERING ABOUT IT ALL OVER after the download website basically says SERIOUS BETATESTERS ONLY and NO TRESPASSING and KEEP OUT, THIS MEANS YOU.

Sorry, those last two apparently involve traumatic memories from my childhood.

Or *not.*

Yes, it's the Beta version of RockSim 8.

Cheers,
