Two (2) K-51 Sandhawk fins
Long Shot ask: does anybody have just two Estes Sandhawk fins? Salvage is fine.
They will be used to complete a damaged hanger queen I bought on eBay. It will fly.

Ask, . . . .
The picture shows what I got: What I'm missing: two fins, a nose cone and a 12" chute. I've got a chute and I can use a balsa cone but I can't fake the fins. At this point, I've removed the lug stand-offs and sanded all the plastic joints smooth on the payload section. I removed the broken plastic antennae from the payload section and fin can and sanded those areas smooth. I'm going to replace the plastic with wire. I'm going to relocate the launch lugs to the side without the antenna on the fin can. Sandhawk was/is one of my all-time favorite Estes kits. I'd like to get this one to flight status. So again, if somebody has two salvage fins or a Sandhawk nose cone, even one with the bayonnet fittings broken off, I'd love to try and work something out for those. . . .

Here's mine flying at NARAM 53 a couple of years back. It has all the pieces, it's just somewhat ragged.
Did you ever think about checking out one of the 3D printed products? Seems to me that this would be among the first wave just because of the unique parts.

Might be worth contacting the designer; probably easy to scale it up to BT-55.

Well, he has a BT-55 Sandhawk fin can but its 60 bucks. There are some interesting products including a BT-70 Little Joe and an entire, highly detailed Series 20 Redstone fin can. But I don't have the juice to be buyin' that although I may try one of the less expensive products to see what its about.
But that's not what this thread is about. Come on guys, I've got to believe somebody has Sandhawk fin can with only two fins left that they want to get rid off. Or two fins lying in a parts drawer. Two Sandhawk fins . . . WANTED.

I have an opened Sandhawk kit with an unopened parts bag. I was looking at it and the nosecone is very close to the balsa cone in the Estes (K-22?) V-2 kit. The balsa cone has the same profile and is just 1/4" longer. Can you not fabricate two fins from basswood and get the V-2 cone to complete your build?
