Lost at Bong 5/19-5/20
The rocket gods were greedy this weekend, many rockets are MIA. The detail of my loss is a mostly green 38mm DD lost somewhere in the south trees. If found, be careful - it still has a live charge in it.

That's great news. Was it close to where you think it was? Guess the rocket gods didn't want to keep this one.

I don't know where it was found, but it was still beeping. Leads me to believe I was off course. I'm not surprised the gods didn't want it, if you'd seen it up close you'd know why.

The winds were blowing everything in that direction this past weekend, as far as I know it was not turned up. On the bright side, that one will last forever in the elements - I'll keep my ears and eyes open for it.

Don't you just love it when this happens (BEING SARCASTIC), part of the thrill of rocketry, I guess, will I get it back or won't I?

A friend and I were just talking about that at the launch yesterday. Thinking about how boring it would be to fly in deserts and cleared farm fields all the time. To bring that excitement to light, his LOC/Precision I-Roc DD landed in the north lake yesterday - the ugly side of the excitement.

Bummer! Did Mark go for a swim, or is I-Roc still an I-Boat? I was amazed that my last flight on Saturday cleared the trees to the North; landed ~250 yards shy of the highway. It seemed to me that the winds combined with the heat and "thermalled" lots of rockets to da Nort'. -Eric- |

Unfortunately it's still a boat, maybe a submarine by now... I'm uploading video to youtube now, I'll post it shortly. Sux, because it looked so good!
