The WOOSH Rocketry entry, dubbed "Gouda Wooshka", was built in 7min. 57sec. It's first flight was less than successful, a tangled chute being the problem if my memory serves correct. Since then, it has become an iconic (and infamous) part of the WOOSH organization. It has been flown at local, regional, and national events all over the country, on an astonishing array of different commercial and research motors. There have been many repairs in it's lifetime, it's no looker. But it keeps on keepin' on! I wonder if any of the other entries are still flying?

Close, actually a Loc Fantom 438. Right on with the build time: Built, prepped for flight, and through the RSO in 7:57!

Is that a zipper up top? I don't remember that being there?

Almost made it to Bong on Saturday....made it to Greenfield, then got "stuck" at the sister-in-law's house. Oh well!

I thought it was the IV with the fins clipped from one of the repair jobs, Fantom makes more sense. It is a zipper, but it has been glassed on the inside. I think that happened at LDRS, but I'm not sure. Too bad you couldn't make it Saturday, turned out to be a great day for flying - not such a great day for landing...
